6-Pack Rings That Are Fish Food, Not Fish Fails!

South Florida-based Saltwater Brewery sealed a lovely partnership a couple of months ago. The brewery, which is located in Delray Beach and works with charitable organizations including the Surfrider Foundation and Coastal Conservation Association, immediately jumped at the chance to marry its two passions: beer and nature conservation!

That’s why they’re so excited about their new initiative: to replace the traditional, plastic 6-pack rings with ones that are edible for fish and biodegradable. Created with a 3D-printed mold, the rings are made from wheat and barley leftover from the brewing process. Nothing wasted, everything gained!

Brewery President Chris Gove said, “We believed in it so much. It came about through a love for the ocean and truly caring for the environment.”
