Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for week nine, while teammate Sherrick McManis earned Special Teams honors. Urlacher racked up seven tackles, a forced fumble and a 46-yard interception return for a touchdown in last Sunday's 51-20 rout of Tennessee. McManis had two tackles and a blocked punt that was returned for a score.

A nine-year-old Ukrainian boy is looking at a lengthy time-out after snatching almost $4,000 from his parents to buy candy. The family had $3,300 in U.S. Cash, along with $600 worth of euros, hidden under the sofa. The boy's father was the first to notice that the family's stash of savings was missing. The boy admitted to taking the money during his autumn vacation and used it to buy sweets. Apparently through an adult friend, he converted the money into Ukrainian hryvnas before spending it.
