Angry states, Swift Challenge, Retro Rumble, and more!

Nov 13, 2012 -- 8:49am

Apparently, some people are really upset about the result of the presidential election. So upset, in fact, that 20 states have filed petitions to secede from the United States. It's really just a symbolic gesture, but it says a lot about how serious people are taking politics right now.

We played the Swift Challenge again this morning, and Donna Ferrara of Midlothian correctly identified the three songs as “Mine,” by Taylor Swift, “All For You,” by Sister Hazel, and “Back to December,” by Taylor Swift! She'll go see Taylor and Ed Sheeran on August 10th at Soldier Field!

In the Retro Rumble, the boss's theme was songs that make you think of warmer weather, since it's gotten so cold lately. Josh's pick was C&C Music Factory's “Gonna Make You Sweat,” and Anna chose DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince's “Summertime.” In the end, Josh was able to end his losing streak with a decisive win!

Tomorrow, we'll drop the jokes and laughing and instead, work to better the area where we live and work. From 6 to 9, we'll be working with MorningStar Mission to help feed those who are hungry in and around Will County. We'll be taking donations that will provide meals and care to those who are in need, because nobody should have to go hungry.
