There was a friendly wager made on Friday involving Breaking Dawn Part 2 and Skyfall. Anna said Skyfall's $90 million opening weekend would top Breaking Dawn's opening weekend. Josh, however, felt Breaking Dawn would top $100 million. A wager for coffee from the gas station across the street was made, and after looking at the numbers from this weekend, Josh was the winner of the bet. Breaking Dawn Part 2 took in over $140 million, topping Skyfall's opening weekend by about $50 million.
A simple way for your kids to bring their grades up:
In Fab Five, Carrie Johnson of Romeoville only had to answer the final question to win. She correctly answered that a plectrum is better known as a guitar pick, and won Kung Fu Panda Christmas on Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack!
How many people work their childhood dream job:
The Bears take on the 49ers in San Francisco tonight, without Jay Cutler, who's recovering from a concussion. But, news came through today that 49ers starting quarterback Alex Smith will also miss the game due to a concussion he suffered last week. In his place, San Francisco will start rookie Colin Kaepernick, who's never started a game in the NFL. Josh felt that the Bears defense will be all over Kaepernick, and they'll pull out a 17-6 victory. Anna felt the same way, predicting a 13-7 Bears win. Anna's streak of correct predictions is at 7 weeks going into tonight's game.
Tomorrow, we'll have a Retro Rumble at 7:05. Two songs will go head to head for your votes, and only one can be declared the winner. We'll also give one lucky voter something Christmas-themed from the Star 96.7 prize vault! Also, we'll talk about the lengths people to which people would be willing to go to keep their benefits at work, and how impatient we've become when it comes to waiting for online videos to load.
