Josh mentioned that he's seen a lot of people are falling for the “Share this picture, and you could win an iPad,” and things like that on Facebook. What people don't seem to realize is that 99% of these are fake, and a lot of the pages were created very recently, some just a few days ago. He warned that these posts are commonly used by people who are trying to get personal information, and will likely spam your Facebook and email accounts. Josh said the best thing to do is remember mom's advice: “If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't true.”
Are you a megacommuter:
In the Retro Rumble, it was a battle of singers-turned-actors. Anna chose Destiny's Child's “Jumpin', Jumpin',” and Josh chose “Bailamos” by Enrique Iglesias. Josh was hoping to extend his winning streak to 3 weeks, but Anna took the victory, 43-32! And Danielle Degraaf of Channahon was also a winner, scoring a $20 gift certificate to Choo Choo Johnny's just for voting!
“Exercise” for the extremely lazy:
7th Heaven's Nick Cox and new lead singer Anthony Fedorov were in-studio, and talked about their plans for the band in 2013. They'll be opening for REO Speedwagon at the Taste of Joliet, as well as performing at Ribfest in Naperville. Anthony, who was on season four of American Idol, talked a little about his experience on the show. He said that viewers don't realize how rigorous the schedule is as a contestant, and the really learned the value of taking care of yourself in all regards, otherwise your body won't be able to stand up to the rigors of being a performer. They were also nice enough to play a brand new song for us called “I Begin Again,” which will be on their new album, due out in May!
Tomorrow, we'll play Amateur Theater, which has been moved to a weekly game by popular demand! We'll act out a scene, poorly, and you have to figure out what movie it's from. We'll have a $20 gift certificate to Choo Choo Johnny's for our winner! Also, the five things that make us most likely to swear while driving, and the top 5 worst fashion trends of the century! We'll also have our weekly chat with our fashion and design expert, Paige Ronchetti, who might have a thing or two to say about those horrible fashion trends.
