Lisle Partners for Park Foundation will recycle your old lights that don’t work. “We’ll take lights and extension cords, which will be collected at one of three sites in the village from now through Feb. 1 of next year,” said Rachel Staats, marketing and communications consultant for the Lisle Park District. “This is all part of our ‘Go Green’ and ‘Earth Flag’ initiatives, which include recycling paper, used athletic shoes and crayons.”
Drop-off areas include the Recreation Center, 1925 Ohio St.: from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday; and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Used lights may also be brought to the Community Center, 1825 Short St.: from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sunday.
