It’s Christmas tree season and that could mean an entirely new set of potential hazards for your little ones. Experts say anything on a tree could potentially end up in a child’s mouth. Here are several ways you can help keep your family safe.

#1- Skip tinsel- it can pose a serious choking hazard

#2- Consider skipping the Christmas lights and opt for large unbreakable ornaments instead

#3- Consider using baby gates or decorative kennel fences to surround the tree

#4- Make sure that your tree is secured and not easily tipped over

#5- Purchase a fresh tree and keep it watered to prevent fires or purchase a fire resistant synthetic tree.
