Every year around this time, we celebrate our Air and Water military with Chicago’s Air and Water show along the city’s lakefront. That’s going on between 10a & 3p on both Saturday and Sunday.
Here’s something I never knew – thanks to the Chicago Tribune, I learned that it was first a celebration for kids with the Chicago Park District’s Summer Camp back in 1959. They had water skiers, games…diving competitions….
Now over one million people hit North Avenue Beach to catch the action.
