BOREDOM STEERS MARYLAND WOMAN TO $25K LOTTERY WIN: A Maryland woman who bought a lottery ticket out of boredom ended up winning $25,000. The unidentified 36-year-old woman plays the lottery every now and then, and she told lottery officials, “I was just bored,” when she decided to buy the ticket at a nearby store. The woman said she has no plans for the winnings yet except for taking care of her kids. (UPI)
