“Captain Marvel”: Busting the Box Office, Star Keeps It Real

Captain Marvel opened on Friday and is looking to finish the weekend with a box office of $153 million in the US; worldwide it’s looking to do $455 million.
All weekend totals are not in yet but if Captain Marvel completes the weekend at $153 million or better it would be the 3rd highest opening for a movie in the month of March.
Captain Marvel’s star, Brie Larson, “took to the streets” this weekend as well. She said she heard her likeness was on the movie theater cups, and she had to see for herself. Once there, she was slinging drinks, and dishing up popcorn for the movie- and snack-hungry horde!
