“Deadliest Catch” is a popular TV show for a reason–people want a behind the scenes look at the challenges of working on the water. Turns out, commercial fishing is the most dangerous industry in America, so it makes sense we’re glued to the tube to see what it’s all about!

The federal government’s annual National Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries shows fishers and fishing workers are at greatest risk of dying on the job.  They’re followed by logging workers, aircraft pilots and flight engineers, roofers, and trash and recyclables collectors.

Other dangerous jobs in the report’s top-25 include several categories of construction workers, truck drivers, farmers, ranchers, and agricultural workers, and electrical power line installers and repairers.
