Getting even with your EX

Often times you come across a story while surfing the internet and you resist the urge to check it out – well, that’s why I’m here!  I find these things so you don’t have to!

Dateline: EL PASO, Texas

Maybe you were not one of those celebrating Valentine’s Day this past week…a Texas zoo has a cockroach that made the day nicer for those in your camp.

The El Paso Zoo allowed people to name cockroaches after ex-spouses, former friends or anyone else on the nope list.  They then fed the cockroaches to various zoo animals.

The zoo’s Facebook page featured the “Quit Bugging Me” promotion with dozens of pink-heart graphics showing black cockroaches and various first names or initials of people’s exes.

Apparently there were so many submissions the zoo’s meerkats, tamarins and marmosets have now been put on a diet.
