IKEA Customers trapped by fake arrows
How often do you come across a story while surfing the internet and you resist the urge to check it out – well, that’s why I’m here!
I find these things so you don’t have to!
Dateline: Atlanta, Georgia
You love their Swedish meatballs and the put-together furniture…but how about trying to find your way out of IKEA. Recently at an Atlanta IKEA store a salesman alerted the police that nobody left the building and he thought it was very strange. Police received dozens of calls from people reporting that they were locked in IKEA and they couldn’t get out.
Once the police arrived, they initiated their rescue protocol only to find that customers were walking in circles. Someone had placed fake arrows on the floor and people couldn’t find their way out of the store.
Police eventually followed the right arrows that led them to the prankster who was then arrested.
I can only assume that there were many men in the store because no one seemed to ask for directions.
