How often do you come across a story while surfing the internet and you resist the urge to check it out – well, that’s why I’m here!

I find these things so you don’t have to!

Dateline: Hegins, Pennsylvania

Police say more than 136,000 eggs splattered on a road when they shifted and fell out of a tractor-trailer driving through Pennsylvania last month.

The Republican Herald reports 11,340 dozen eggs and 2,260 gallons of egg product were ruined when a 66-year-old driver lost control of his rig.

Local police say the driver had just picked the eggs up at Carl Faus Farm and was driving north on Route 125, uphill. As he approached an intersection, the load shifted causing the eggs and egg products to fall and roll down the hill.

He didn’t realize it and continued on his way.

Locals and police were SCRAMBLING to clean up the mess, however the road was shut down for several hours.  Drivers were HARD BOILED to get the road open.

An investigation into the unsecured load is ongoing and isn’t OVER EASILY…
