Katherine Helmond who acted in shows like, Soap, Who’s the Boss? Everybody Loves Raymond and True Blood as died at the age of 89. She died from complications due to Alzheimer’s. In the 70’s she played a ditzy character on the hit sitcom, Soap, starring alongside Billy Crystal. She was nominated for 4 Emmy’s for her role. Later, she acted in Who’s the Boss alongside Tony Danza. She was the sassy Mona Robinson. She was nominated for 2 Emmy’s for her role. In the 90’s she played Patricia Heaton’s mom in Everybody Loves Raymond. She was also in HBO’s True Blood. She was also on Broadway where she won a Tony Award.
