Memorial Day deals for active military and veterans
How about a little love for those that serve and have served our country? Businesses across the country have specials, free food and discounts for our military this weekend when they show their military ID.
Ace Hardware stores are doing something cool. On Saturday, the hardware store chain is giving out 1 million free American flags to consumers nationwide. Visit participating stores to get a free 8-by-12-inch flag while supplies last. A second flag will be donated to a local VFW Post to be used for marking and honoring veteran graves this Memorial Day.
Other companies honoring our service members include Applebee’s, Hooters, Naf Naf Middle Eastern Grill, Potbelly, Outback Steakhouse, Omaha Steaks, Sherwin-Williams and so many others.
Many companies give discounts all year long.
