Old Joliet Prison featured in “Ghost Adventures”
Travel Channel’s popular “Ghost Adventures” will feature the Old Joliet Prison this weekend. The show interviews locals and spends nights in allegedly haunted places, searching for paranormal activity.
They spent about three days at the historic site and confirmed that spirits still haunt the facility.

I’m now a little freaked as my son and I will be in a show there for “A Night Behind Bars” at the end of the month with the Joliet Historical Society. I play a nurse, who as you will see, is not a very good one. Click here for a link to that event.
All the money for the events and filmings at the prison are used for renovating the 161–year–old facility. The city hopes to eventually open a hotel, restaurants and gift shops on the prison grounds.
