Keeping tabs on the police situation in Aurora.

UPDATE: The City of Aurora, Illinois, say the suspect in a shooting at a manufacturing company is in custody.

Highland Avenue is closed both northbound and southbound between Prairie and Kensington. Kensington is also blocked between Russell and Highland. Traffic is jammed on Route 31 between Jericho and Galena, and on Prairie between Route 31 and Elmwood.

An active shooter was believed to be firing inside a company on the west side of Aurora. Police are responding to the Henry Pratt Company and reporters on the scene say they can hear shots. Armored vehicles and SWAT teams can be seen entering the building and there are dozens of fire trucks in the parking lot. The nearby Holy Angels School and surrounding businesses are on lockdown. The Pratt Company manufactures industrial products.
