Science supports drinking with friends

If you are looking for the perfect excuse to spend more time with your best buddies and a couple of glasses of wine, a recent study says hanging with your friends at least twice a week is great for your mental well-being and overall health.

A new study by the University of Oxford also that people with loads of pals are less likely to die younger, suffer from illness and recover quicker from surgery.

UCLA researchers say science has proven that women respond to stress better when they have friends, thanks to oxytocin- also known as the ‘love hormone’ – which is produced when we spend time with people we love.

And I don’t know about you….but my friends and I are also big fans of a lovely Cabernet!
