Skooter’s Idol Rules 2022

• Contestants release the rights and grant Skooter’s Roadhouse and Alpha Media (WCCQ and Star 96.7) permission to use all media, pictures, music, sound bites, sound clips & any material, data, interviews etc. Any above stated media or content becomes the property of Skooter’s Roadhouse and will not be returned to contestants

• Voting for the competition will be calculated using the following method. 75% of votes will come from the weekly judges. 25% of the vote will come from audience voting.

• Voting will be open for a period of 3 minutes after the competition is over for the week. The MC will announce that voting is open. Voting will remain open for 3 minutes. Any votes arriving after or before the 3 minutes will not be accepted

• The top 3 total scorers from each week will be invited back for the ‘semi-finalist showdowns’.

• Top 10 scores from the semi- finals (week 10) will be invited back for the Finale. The Finale will be judged the same way, except each performer will sing twice and the top 3 scores will win the prizes.

• Participating in this contest you agree to release Skooter’s Roadhouse,  and Alpha Media (WCCQ and Star 96.7) from any liability in regards to the contest.

• In case of voting malfunction, the judges panel will select the winners. Selections are final.

• ALL previous grand-prize winners of Skooter’s Idol are ineligible to compete.

• You must be present to compete and win.

• You must be present to vote.

•  No shows forfeit their spot in the competition.

•  If you are not at least 21 years of age you will be disqualified from competition.

• Any contestant with a signed record contract is ineligible to compete

• Competitors will sing as individuals only.  No duets

• No props or instruments are allowed

• Contestants cannot offer gifts, swag, hand-outs, or promotional materials to crowd

Media/Crowd Release

THE EVENTS ARE PHOTOGRAPHED/FILMED/RECORDED FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES

By entering and by your presence at all Skooter’s Idol events, you consent to be photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded.  Your entry constitutes your consent to Alpha Media LLC, its affiliates and sponsors to use such photography, filming and/or recording in any and all media throughout the universe in perpetuity, of your appearance, voice and name for any purpose whatsoever in connection with the production.  You understand that all photography, filming and/or recording will be done in reliance on this consent given to you by entering this area.  If you do not agree to the foregoing, please do not enter this area.
