“The Sandlot” is Getting a TV Reboot Including the Original Cast

“The Sandlot” is coming to TV.  David Mickey Evans, who wrote and directed the 1993 movie, says he’s already sold two seasons to a streaming service but won’t say which one.

Evans says he got “all the original cast members” back.  The show will take place in 1984, and the “kids” are now in their 30s.

The movie took place in 1962.  Evans is also working on a prequel movie but it has nothing to do with the TV show.
