The “SpongeBob SquarePants” Musical Is Coming to Nickelodeon!

In 2017, they turned “SpongeBob SquarePants” into a Broadway musical. It was nominated for 12 Tonys. It only won one of them, but still.
Anyway, it’s coming to Nickelodeon in December, with much of the original Broadway cast intact. “The SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage!” won’t technically be live, but it’ll be filmed in front of a live audience.
FYI, the music in this thing is pretty legit, with original songs by Stephen Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, The Flaming Lips, Cyndi Lauper, Panic! at the Disco, Lady Antebellum, and more.
