Often times you come across a story while surfing the internet and you resist the urge to check it out – well, that’s why I’m here!  I find these things so you don’t have to!

Dateline: Somewhere in Lithuania

Lithuanian animal lovers have created a mobile app to match up dogs in local shelters with new owners.  It’s called GetPet.

It was launched last month and is getting hundreds of new users daily…it has already made a few matches.

One of the apps creators say it is like Tinder, but with dogs. You can arrange a meeting with the dog…kind of like a date.

For now, GetPet only features profiles of doggies looking up with their soft, yearning eyes. They hope to soon include cats and other animals.

The new app as it gives more chances to find pets new owners and a new home…because we all know it can be RUFF out there.
