Regulators in the UK say they’re considering new social media rules – which would keep children from hitting that ‘like’ button.  It could bring down social media bullying in a big way, maybe even save lives.

The proposed rules would ban so-called “nudge techniques” used by social media companies, to keep us using their site on a daily basis.  Examples of “nudge techniques”:  Facebook ‘likes’ and Snapchat ‘streaks.’

The new rules also call for a more ‘robust’ age-verification system, better privacy, and restrictions on data – like, what can be collected by the companies.
