Weezer Covers TLC’s “No Scrubs”

“No Scrubs” by TLC is one of the many bizarre and wonderful covers on Weezer’s new “Teal Album”. And it sounds like the ladies are fans.
Chilli says, quote, “When I heard it, I loved it! They did a great job. I hope we can perform it together.”
She was especially impressed by how they didn’t change the lyrics and sing it from a male perspective . . . quote, “When guys do it I go, ‘Clearly, they’re not scrubs.’ If they were scrubs, they wouldn’t sing the song with this type of confidence.”
Rivers Cuomo explained why he decided to do that . . . quote, “I saw this tweet that said, ‘If you’re a guy covering a song by a girl, you gotta keep the pronouns. For those three minutes, you’re gay.’ So I was like, ‘Cool, let’s try this.'”
