What Time Is It

This weekend, Saturday into Sunday, we move our clocks forward by one hour.  It’s known as Daylight Saving Time.  We should have longer days full of sunlight and extremely grumpy children on Monday morning when they get up for school.

If one Illinois lawmaker gets his way, this will be the last time we mess with our clocks at all.  The proposal, which was introduced by State Sen. Andy Manar, D-Bunker Hill, in January, would make March 2020 the last time Illinoisans change their clock, making daylight saving time permanent.  In theory, it might provide even longer days full of sunlight.

Either way, I know friends that will always be late for appointments, no matter what time it is and kids will ALWAYS be grumpy on a Monday morning.
