Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody are taking home the top Golden Globe Awards this year.  Green Book, about African-American pianist Dr. Don Shirley, won best musical or comedy film, best screenplay and best supporting actor in a film for Mahershala Ali.  

Meanwhile, Bohemian Rhapsody, about the rock band Queen, picked up best motion picture drama. Rami Malek also won best actor in a motion picture drama for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the biopic.  

Glenn Close won best actress in a motion picture drama for her role in The Wife, while Olivia Colman picked up best actress in a musical or comedy motion picture for The Favourite.

Director Alfonso Cuaron was named best director for his movie, Roma, which also won best foreign language film.  

Lady Gaga picked up her first Golden Globe for best original song for her hit, Shallow, from her and Bradley Cooper’s movie, A Star Is Born.

Christian Bale was awarded best actor in a musical or comedy for his portrayal of former Vice President Dick Cheney in the movie, Vice.
