Willowbrook Ballroom Site To Become Homes
168 condominiums and 42 townhouses will be built on the site of the Willowbrook Ballroom in Willow Springs. The infamous venue burned down in October 2016. It is also the famous site of the legendary ghost story, Resurrection Mary. Legend says she was walking home from a dance at the Ballroom in 1927, when a car struck and killed her. A group had vowed to rebuild it, but those plans never came to fruition. All that is left is the Willowbrook sign. Prices and construction dates of “Willow Glen” have not yet been set, but that the development group expects the first units to be ready for occupancy in late 2019 or early 2020. According to the development team, they are devising ways to memorialize the Willowbrook Ballroom in the new buildings.
I wonder if Mary will be “buying” a condo there?
